Light yellow slightly reduces blue light and is suitable for all outdoor photography. Blue skies appear darker, white clouds stand out more clearly, and snow scenes appear more brilliant.

High-quality Heliopan filters are manufactured in Munich and offer first-class optical performance and superior manufacturing quality. SCHOTT glass is used in the production of Heliopan filters, ensuring excellent sharpness and neutral tonal reproduction thanks to spectrally balanced light attenuation. The filter glass is perfectly plane-parallel ground and smoothly polished.

Heliopan SLIM filter mount

The filter mounts are precision-machined from brass. Brass is dimensionally stable and robust, and due to its very low thermal expansion, it prevents image-degrading mechanical stress on the filter glass—even under strong temperature changes. The risk of the filter binding in the lens thread is minimized. The blackened brass mount reduces internal reflections. With a slim height of 4 mm, the filter can be used on wide-angle lenses without vignetting.

Heliopan Standard Coating

Reflections at glass/air surfaces are a primary cause of contrast loss in lenses. For this reason, lens manufacturers invest heavily in lens coatings. This quality should not be compromised by using an uncoated filter. Heliopan filters feature a proprietary 4-layer broadband coating that significantly reduces reflections in the visible spectrum. The coating is also water- and dirt-repellent, making it durable and easy to clean.
